The Langston Memorial Fountain, erected in 1970 by Julia, the Countess of Ducie in honour of her father, James H Langston, lord of the manor and local benefactor.
Nikolaus Pevsner, chronicler of England's architectural heritage, called this hideously ugly - but I 've seen worse.
